THE PHOTOGRAPHER
I always read the bio or the about page on almost every web page I visit. I find it interesting to discover the little facts about the author. When I sat down to write my own page, it was not nearly so interesting. I was born and raised in Glendale California. When the time for college arrived I was lucky that one of the best photo schools in the states was only six miles from my home. I spent most of my time at Art Center College of Design shooting advertising studio work before deciding I really was interested in sports and editorial photography. I worked for years as a staff photographer in both Los Angeles and Portland. Fast forward twenty some years and I am now married and have two great boys. I now live in Portland, Oregon. I spend my time as a freelancer shooting professional sports, news and features for several publications in Oregon, Washington and Idaho. I am also currently the Digital Imaging Specialist for Eagle Newspapers Incorporated. My main responsibilities for Eagle include training staff in current digital technologies, applications, transmitting, color correction and prepress troubleshooting.
